Evidence-based audit and approval ratings for websites.AboutContact

About us

Trusted Access Point audits websites and publishes the evidence behind every rating.

What we do

A visitor deciding whether to trust a website usually has only the website itself to go on. We check the claims behind it: who is legally behind the website, whether any recognition or accreditation it claims is real, what it actually delivers, how fees and refunds work, how people are treated, and how secure and reliable the site is.

Each audit scores a set of published parameters, grouped into weighted categories, and ends in an Approval Rating out of 100. Every parameter shows what was checked, so you can verify our work instead of taking it on trust.

How we stay independent

  • Ratings cannot be bought. Website owners can send documents and request factual corrections, but they cannot buy a score, a band or the Recommended label.
  • The methodology is public. Categories, weights and the 0 to 5 scoring scale are published on the How we rate page.
  • Missing information is never scored as zero. A parameter we cannot check is marked as not assessed.
  • User reviews are moderated and shown separately. They are never averaged into the Approval Rating.

Corrections and contact

If you find a factual error in a profile, or you run a website and want it audited, use the audit request form or contact us. Corrections supported by evidence are reviewed and, where justified, published with the date of the change.
